We're looking for a talented and ambitious Chefs to join the kitchen team at a beautiful 2 Rosette countryside pub with rooms and event space in East Sussex.

This is a genuinely characterful venue with a quirky, individual interior, beautiful rural surroundings, boutique bedrooms, restaurant dining, weddings, private events and an outdoor kitchen - making it a far more varied environment than your typical pub kitchen.

THE VENUE

Set in the heart of the East Sussex countryside, this is a destination venue with real personality.

The venue holds 2 AA Rosettes and offers a varied operation covering:

• À la carte restaurant service
• Weddings and private events
• Large-scale functions

The variety means no two days are necessarily the same, giving you the opportunity to develop your skills across restaurant, events and outdoor catering.

THE ROLE

As Chef de Partie, you'll be an important part of the kitchen team, working alongside experienced Chefs to deliver consistently high-quality food across the restaurant and events operation.

This is a great opportunity for a Chef who is ready to take the next step, develop their skills and work towards progression within a quality kitchen.

You'll have exposure to:

• Fresh, seasonal and quality ingredients
• 2 Rosette-standard cooking
• À la carte restaurant service
• Weddings and private dining
• Large events and functions
• BBQ and outdoor kitchen cooking
• Menu preparation and service
• High-volume periods and busy service

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for a Chef who is passionate, hardworking and genuinely wants to develop.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or above
• Experience within a fresh food restaurant, gastro pub, hotel or quality kitchen
• A genuine passion for cooking and quality food
• Good knowledge of fresh and seasonal ingredients
• Strong attention to detail and presentation
• The ability to work calmly and effectively during busy service
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• A desire to learn, develop and progress your career

Experience within a Rosette, fine dining, gastro pub, hotel, wedding or events environment would be advantageous, but attitude and ambition are equally important.
