Job Title: Production WorkerJob Description

The Production Worker supports daily manufacturing and shipping operations in a metal fabrication environment. This role involves handling materials, staging and preparing orders for shipment, and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient production area. It is well-suited for a dependable, physically capable individual who wants to build a long-term career in a stable and established company.

Responsibilities
  • Use pallet jacks to move materials and customer orders safely throughout the facility.
  • Stage orders accurately at the loading dock in preparation for outbound shipments.
  • Verify orders against pick sheets to ensure correct items, quantities, and destinations.
  • Wrap pallets of finished products securely for shipping to prevent damage in transit.
  • Perform general production and packaging tasks as assigned to support manufacturing output.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including loading, unloading, and organizing materials.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions carefully to maintain quality and safety standards.
  • Work collaboratively with a small production and shipping team to meet daily production goals.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in the fabrication shop.
  • Stand, walk, and lift materials throughout the shift to keep production flowing.
Essential Skills
  • 6–12 months of experience using pallet jacks in a production, warehouse, or shipping/receiving environment.
  • 6–12 months of shipping and receiving experience.
  • Ability to perform general labor tasks in a fast-paced production setting.
  • Ability to read and speak English to follow work instructions and pick sheets.
  • Physical stamina and comfort standing, walking, and moving throughout most of the shift.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as needed for production and shipping tasks.
  • Reliability, including consistently arriving on time and ready to work.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to following instructions and quality standards.
  • Ability to work well with others in a production or warehouse team environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • No certifications or technical degrees required.
  • Willingness to learn new tasks and take direction from supervisors and team leads.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, production-style environment.
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset in a small production/shipping group.

Work Environment

This role follows a Monday through Thursday schedule from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Work takes place in a clean and organized indoor fabrication shop with a blue-collar, hands-on atmosphere. You will be part of a small 3–4 person production and shipping team working in spacious areas with designated workstations. The environment is fast-paced and production-oriented, with moderate noise levels typical of a manufacturing setting. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, long pants or jeans, and a T-shirt. You must be comfortable standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift while working around standard shop equipment and materials.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
