Senior Practice Nurse

Cuffley and Goffs Oak Medical Practice has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Practice Nurse to join our friendly, welcoming and supportive team.

The successful candidate will work across both of our sites, Cuffley Village Surgery and Valley View Health Centre. We are offering either a full-time position of 37 hours per week or the opportunity for two part-time nurses to share the role, with working days to be agreed.

This is a key clinical role providing high-quality nursing care to our patient population, while also supporting and mentoring junior nursing staff.

Main duties of the role will include:

• Delivering a wide range of nursing clinics: chronic disease management (diabetes, asthma, COPD, hypertension), immunisations, travel health, cervical screening, wound care, and health promotion
• Leading and supervising the practice nursing team, including healthcare assistants
• Managing QOF (Quality and Outcomes Framework) targets and clinical audits
• Developing and reviewing practice nursing protocols and standard operating procedures
• Liaising with GPs and the wider multidisciplinary team on complex patient care
• Supporting infection control, safeguarding, and clinical governance processes
• Contributing to service development and quality improvement initiatives
• Involvement in health promotions and clinical meetings
