Data Engineer- Birmingham

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Data Engineer to work for our client within the Finance & Pensions sector. This is initially a 6 month contract with the potential to extend and will be a Hybrid role that will be based in Birmingham.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain data pipelines and data integration processes.
• Analyse, transform and manage complex datasets from multiple sources.
• Support the development and optimisation of data platforms, data warehouses and data lakes.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to gather, interpret and translate requirements into effective data solutions.
• Promote data quality, governance and best practice standards.
• Contribute across the full project lifecycle, including discovery, analysis, design, build, testing and implementation.
• Collaborate with internal teams and third-party suppliers to deliver technology solutions.
• Support problem-solving and troubleshooting activities across data and reporting environments.
• Contribute to agile delivery practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
