We're recruiting an Accounts Semi Senior for a growing accountancy practice in Hexham.

This is an excellent opportunity for an AAT-qualified or part-qualified ACA/ACCA accountant with UK practice experience who is looking to develop their career across accounts, tax and advisory services.

You'll work with a varied portfolio of SME clients, gaining hands-on experience in statutory accounts, management accounts, corporation tax and VAT.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory and year-end accounts for partnerships, LLPs and limited companies
• Prepare tax computations and corporation tax returns
• Produce management accounts for a varied client portfolio
• Prepare and review VAT returns
• Draft CT600 corporation tax returns
• Prepare client reports covering financial statements, business issues, systems and controls
• Liaise directly with clients and other stakeholders
• Support senior team members with wider accounts and tax advisory work
• Manage workloads and ensure assignments are completed accurately and on time

About You

• AAT qualified or ACA/ACCA part-qualified
• Previous UK accountancy practice experience
• Experience preparing accounts and tax computations
• Good knowledge of VAT and corporation tax
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Confident communicating with clients
• Professional, proactive and keen to develop
• Charity accounts experience advantageous, but not essential
