Infrastructure Delivery Manager- Edinburgh or Cheshire

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking an Infrastructure Delivery Manager to work for our client within the Financial Services sector. This is initially a 12-month contract with very good prospects to extend and will be a hybrid role based in Edinburgh or Cheshire.

Our client is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Delivery Manager to lead the planning, governance, provisioning, and operational management of programme environments supporting a large-scale transformation initiative. The successful candidate will act as the central coordination point across delivery, infrastructure, testing, data, and third-party teams, ensuring environments are available, stable, secure, and aligned to programme milestones and release schedules.

Responsibilities:

• Define and maintain the programme environment strategy, roadmap, and plans aligned to delivery milestones and release schedules.
• Establish and govern environment policies, standards, inventories, and configuration baselines.
• Coordinate environment provisioning, configuration, refreshes, backups, access management, monitoring, and decommissioning activities.
• Manage environment-related incidents and act as the escalation point for issue resolution and continuous improvement activities.
• Engage with delivery teams, architects, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure environment readiness and minimise delivery risks.
