FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking an IT Support Analyst (Connectivity) to work for our client within the sector. This is initially a 6 month contract with very good prospects to extend and will be a fully office based role that will be based in London.

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Connectivity Support Analyst to join a business-critical technology function responsible for ensuring robust, low-latency connectivity between the firm's trading platforms, clients, brokers, exchanges and internal systems. The successful candidate will operate within a fast-paced front-office environment, supporting electronic trading infrastructure and working closely with traders, technologists, external vendors and market participants to troubleshoot issues, maintain operational stability and support ongoing connectivity initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and support connectivity between trading platforms, exchanges, brokers, vendors and client-facing systems.
  • Investigate, diagnose and resolve connectivity, application and market data incidents across production environments.
  • Work closely with traders, technology teams and external counterparties to ensure timely resolution of service-impacting issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis and document findings, resolutions and preventative measures.
  • Support onboarding activities for new client, broker and exchange connections.
  • Assist with system testing, upgrades, deployments and change management activities.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential risks to service availability.
  • Ensure all operational activities adhere to regulatory controls, internal procedures and governance frameworks.
  • Participate in incident management, escalation processes and support rotas where required.
