Legal AI Engineer

This position requires the successful candidate to work on a W2 directly with FDM. We cannot accept C2C, 1099 or employment sponsorship (e.g. H1-B) for this position.

As a Legal AI Engineer, you will work at the intersection of legal services, technology, and artificial intelligence, helping some of the world's leading organizations transform how legal work is delivered. Leveraging your domain expertise, you will collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, and engineers to design and implement AI-enabled solutions that improve efficiency, enhance decision-making, and solve complex business challenges.

These roles will be located in New York, Dallas/Fort Worth, Chicago and Washington, DC.

Your Responsibilities

• Partner with clients to understand legal workflows, processes, and challenges
• Identify opportunities to improve legal operations through AI-enabled solutions
• Translate business and legal requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Collaborate with software engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders
• Support the design, development, and implementation of AI-powered applications
• Contribute to client transformation initiatives and strategic projects
• Stay informed on emerging trends in legal technology, artificial intelligence, and automation
• Act as a bridge between legal subject matter experts and technical delivery teams
