Job Title: Strip Fitter / MET Technician
Salary: £17.73 per hour
Location: BCA Kingsnorth

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 6.30am - 4.30pm
Job Status - Permanent

BCA is looking for an experienced Strip Fitter / MET Technician to join our busy Bodyshop team at Kingsnorth.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled automotive professional with experience in vehicle dismantling, reassembly, and bodyshop repair environments. Working within a modern and fast-paced workshop, you will play a key role in ensuring vehicles are repaired and prepared to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Removing and refitting vehicle components in line with manufacturer specifications
• Stripping damaged vehicles prior to repair work
• Reassembling vehicles following paint and repair processes
• Removing and refitting trim, mechanical and electrical components
• Identifying damaged or missing parts and reporting findings
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high-quality standard
• Conducting quality checks before vehicles leave the workshop
• Supporting colleagues across the Bodyshop when required
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
  
  

Skills & Experience Required

Essential

• Previous experience as a Strip Fitter, MET Technician, Vehicle Technician or Bodyshop Technician
• Experience dismantling and reassembling modern vehicles
• Knowledge of vehicle mechanical, electrical and trim components
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality

Desirable

• ATA accreditation or equivalent automotive qualification
• Experience working within an accident repair centre or Bodyshop environment
• Experience supporting or mentoring junior technicians
• Awareness of manufacturer repair methods and standards
