IT Technical Lead (Infrastructure)- Cheshire

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking an IT Technical Lead - Infrastructure to work within the Financial Services sector. This is initially a 6 month contract with strong potential for extension and will be a hybrid opportunity based in Cheshire.

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Technical Lead to act as a technical subject matter expert across a complex enterprise environment. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership across infrastructure projects, support the development of technology roadmaps, drive service improvements, and ensure the ongoing stability, security and resilience of critical infrastructure services.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership and guidance across infrastructure projects, initiatives and operational activities.
• Support and maintain Wintel infrastructure services, ensuring high availability and performance within agreed SLAs.
• Lead infrastructure solution design activities and contribute to technology roadmaps and architectural direction.
• Drive business continuity and disaster recovery planning, testing and documentation.
• Identify opportunities for service improvement, automation and infrastructure optimisation.
• Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of infrastructure services and projects.
• Support operational governance and continuous improvement initiatives.
