Family Café Front of House All-rounder

Hemma Social is a new neighbourhood café and family space in East Village, Stratford. We want a warm, reliable front of house teammate who enjoys welcoming regulars, helping families and keeping a busy café calm and organised. We are aiming to open around 16–18 November 2026. You will greet guests, take orders, run the till, serve coffee, food and cake, clear and reset tables, keep the café and family areas tidy, and help the barista and kitchen team during busy periods. You will follow food hygiene and cleaning routines and flag any safety concerns promptly. Barista experience is welcome, but care, pace and a willingness to learn matter most. Paid training will be arranged before opening. This is a part-time, permanent role of around 20–25 hours a week at £14.80–£15.50 per hour, depending on experience. Shifts will include some weekends. Planned public opening hours are Monday–Friday 08:00–18:00, Saturday 08:30–18:00 and Sunday 08:30–16:00; the regular six-day schedule and closed day are still being finalised. An initial soft launch may run Wednesday–Sunday. Your roster and start date will be agreed in advance. You should be confident speaking with guests, comfortable working around children and able to stay organised during breakfast and lunch peaks. Previous café or hospitality work is helpful.
