Are you an experienced General Manager with a strong background in premium, high-volume restaurants? Do you have the commercial awareness, entrepreneurial mindset and people leadership skills to take ownership of a busy, premium operation?

We're looking for an ambitious General Manager to join a highly regarded restaurant in Central Manchester, offering an exciting food and drink experience built around exceptional small plates, sharing dishes and expertly crafted cocktails.

This is a high-volume restaurant with a relaxed and informal approach to service. The food is bold, generous and full of flavour, while the atmosphere is welcoming and designed to encourage guests to settle in, enjoy themselves and return time and again.

The role

As General Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, leading from the front and ensuring the team consistently delivers an outstanding guest experience.

You will be responsible for:

• Leading, developing and motivating a large Front of House team.
• Driving exceptional customer service while maintaining a relaxed and engaging service style.
• Taking ownership of the restaurant's financial performance, including sales, labour and GP.
• Building a strong team culture where people feel valued, supported and motivated to perform.
• Working closely with the kitchen and wider management team to ensure seamless service.

About you

We're looking for a commercially minded and people-focused General Manager who understands what it takes to operate a successful premium restaurant.

You will ideally have:

• Proven General Manager experience within a premium high-street restaurant environment.
• Experience managing a high-volume, high street restaurant
• Strong financial understanding, with the ability to confidently manage sales, labour, GP and costs.
• An entrepreneurial mindset - someone who sees opportunities rather than simply following processes.
• Strong leadership skills with a genuine focus on developing and retaining great people..
• A hands-on, commercially driven approach with a strong attention to detail.
