We're recruiting an experienced Personal Tax Senior for a growing accountancy practice in Durham.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ATT-qualified, part-qualified or experienced tax professional looking to develop their career within personal tax and private client services.

You'll work with a varied portfolio of sole traders, company directors and owner-managed businesses, with the opportunity to gain exposure to larger and more complex clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare Self Assessment personal tax returns
• Prepare P11D forms and advise on benefits in kind
• Prepare PAYE Settlement Agreements
• Prepare Capital Gains Tax computations
• Prepare in-year CGT on UK Property returns
• Deal with client and HMRC correspondence
• Assist with personal and partnership tax queries
• Support ad-hoc tax projects and advisory work
• Build strong and lasting client relationships
• Coach and support junior members of the team

About You

• ATT qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience
• Previous personal tax experience within an accountancy practice
• Strong technical knowledge of Personal Tax, Partnership Tax and CGT
• Good understanding of Income Tax and IHT
• Experience coaching or supporting junior team members
• CCH experience advantageous, but full training can be provided
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills
• Professional, proactive and keen to progress
