Plumber / Water Hygiene Engineer

Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Plumber / Water Hygiene Engineer to join their growing team covering Gloucestershire and surrounding areas.

This is a varied, field-based role combining remedial plumbing works with water hygiene compliance duties, working across commercial, industrial, and public sector sites.

Key Responsibilities

Plumbing & Remedial Works:

• Carry out general plumbing repairs and installations
• Perform dead leg removals and pipework modifications
• Install, service, and replace TMVs (Thermostatic Mixing Valves)
• Complete tank and water heater replacements
• Undertake system upgrades in line with compliance requirements

Water Hygiene Duties:

• Conduct temperature monitoring and water sampling
• Perform tank inspections, cleaning, and disinfection
• Carry out showerhead descaling and servicing
• Assist with general Legionella compliance tasks
• Ensure all work is completed in line with:
• ACOP L8
• HSG274 guidelines
• Accurately complete service reports using digital systems

Experience Required

• Conduct temperature monitoring and water sampling
• Proven experience in plumbing and/or water hygiene
• NVQ / City & Guilds in Plumbing (or equivalent)
• Experience with:
• TMVs
• Dead leg removal
• Water system maintenance
• Understanding of Legionella control (ACOP L8)
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Full UK driving licence
