We're recruiting an experienced Audit Semi-Senior to join a growing accountancy practice in Taunton.

This is a great opportunity for an AAT, ACA or ACCA qualified or part-qualified accountant looking to develop their audit career. You'll gain hands-on experience across a varied client portfolio, take responsibility for fieldwork and support the development of junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and lead audit fieldwork across a varied portfolio of clients
• Assist with audits from planning through to completion
• Prepare high-quality audit working papers and documentation
• Review financial information and identify potential audit issues
• Liaise with clients to obtain information and resolve queries
• Coach, support and review the work of junior team members
• Work closely with Audit Seniors, Managers and Partners
• Ensure assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
• Develop your technical knowledge across accounting and auditing standards

About You

• AAT, ACA or ACCA qualified or part-qualified
• Previous experience within an audit or accountancy practice environment
• Good understanding of audit and accounting principles
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Confident communicating with clients and colleagues
• Experience supporting or reviewing junior staff would be advantageous
• Proactive approach with a genuine ambition to develop your audit career
• Able to manage workloads effectively and meet deadlines
