An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Cardiff NLP group at the School of Computer Science and Informatics. The Cardiff NLP group works on different areas of Natural Language Processing, including multi-disciplinary collaborations involving text applications.

The post holder will conduct research within the UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship of Prof. Jose Camacho-Collados, an exciting research project to explore the potential of NLP for real-world applications, as well as to enhance the understanding of NLP technology and language models. The post holder will contribute to the overall research of this fellowship, and to the broad research group, School and University, carrying out research leading to high-quality outputs and impactful applications.

The successful candidate will be dedicated to finding creative solutions and have a genuine curiosity and enthusiasm to work with a multi-disciplinary research team in computer science.

This post is full-time at 1.0 FTE (35 hours per week) fixed term for 14 months from 1st December 2026 until 31st January 2028 (with a relatively flexible starting date).

Salary: £41,064 per annum, with 4 annual increments up to £46,049 per annum at the top of the scale (Grade 6).

The post holder will be responsible to Prof Jose Camacho-Collados.
