Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are recruiting Food Production Operatives / Production Operatives for a busy meat production company in the Chesterfield area.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for consistent Monday-Friday work, with a regular shift pattern and the potential to go permanent.

The Role

Working as part of a busy food production team, you will be responsible for preparing, weighing and packing raw meat products in a chilled environment.

Your duties will include:

• Weighing, handling and packing raw meat

• Operating basic packing machinery

• Checking products and packaging

• Working to daily production targets

• Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures

• Keeping your work area clean and tidy

Pay & Hours

• £12.71 per hour

• Monday to Friday

• 7:00am – 3:30pm

• Full-time, ongoing work

• Temp to perm opportunity

• Overtime may be available

• PPE provided

• Good local bus routes

About You

Previous food production or packing experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.

We are looking for candidates who are:

• Reliable and punctual

• Comfortable working in a cold/chilled environment

• Comfortable handling raw meat

• Happy working on their feet

• Able to work at pace and meet production targets

• Comfortable working as part of a team

Experience as a Food Production Operative, Production Operative, Factory Operative, Packing Operative, Warehouse Operative, Picker Packer or Meat Production Operative would be beneficial.
