Duration: 6 Months

Daily Rate: Competitive (Outside IR35)

Location: Norwich/ Hybrid

We're supporting an organisation with a strong health and safety focus to find a proactive Senior Health and Safety Consultant on a short-term basis. This role is pivotal in conducting a comprehensive gap analysis of existing policies, supporting ongoing compliance, and drafting policies for board approval. The role involves close collaboration with senior stakeholders, ensuring safety standards are aligned with research and facilities policies, and preparing for a full audit scheduled within a year.

The successful Senior H&S Consultant will:

• Conduct a thorough gap analysis between research and facilities policies, identifying areas for improvement.
• Draft and develop health and safety policies in line with organisational needs and approval processes.
• Engage effectively with stakeholders, providing clear communication and proactive support.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong experience in health and safety consultancy, ideally in research, academic, or complex facilities environments.
• Proven ability to carry out gap analyses and draft policy documents for high-level approval.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with a proactive approach to safety management.
