FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a UiPath Developer to join our client on a large-scale Intelligent Automation transformation programme. This is initially a 5 month contract with very good prospects to extend and will be a remote role with occasional travel as required for workshops, programme activities, and stakeholder engagement.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of both rapid automation solutions and complex enterprise automations, supporting a strategic automation roadmap within a highly regulated environment.

As a UiPath Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying automation solutions using UiPath technologies while supporting the migration of legacy automations to a modern enterprise platform. You will work closely with Business Analysts, Quality Assurance teams, Solution Architects, and the UiPath Technical Lead to deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable automation solutions.

The successful candidate will play a key role in automation development, platform optimisation, technical debt reduction, and knowledge transfer activities, helping to build sustainable automation capabilities within the organisation.

This role requires the consultant to complete both SC and NPPV3 security clearances prior to starting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop automation solutions using UiPath Studio and Orchestrator
  • Deliver both rapid automation initiatives and complex enterprise-grade automation solutions
  • Support the migration and modernisation of legacy automations onto the strategic UiPath platform
  • Produce Solution Design Documents, technical specifications, and supporting documentation
  • Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing activities
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to governance standards and development best practices
  • Troubleshoot defects, resolve production issues, and optimise existing automations
  • Support production deployments, release activities, and post-deployment hypercare
  • Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, QA specialists, Solution Architects, and the Technical Lead
  • Contribute to reducing technical debt and improving automation maintainability
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the automation estate
  • Mentor MPS developers and support knowledge transfer and capability-building activities
