GP Lead

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and forward-thinking GP to take on the role of Clinical Lead at Rectory Road Surgery (formerly The Hollies), now under the leadership of Highlands Surgery. This is offered on 6–8 sessions per week (negotiable).

This is a leadership role supporting the ongoing development and transformation of the practice, ensuring delivery of high-quality, safe, and patient-centred care. The successful candidate will work closely with the Partners and multidisciplinary team to embed strong clinical governance and drive service improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

• Provide clinical leadership and oversight across the practice
• Lead on clinical governance, quality improvement, and patient safety
• Support the development and delivery of high-quality patient care services
• Work collaboratively with the Practice Manager and leadership team at Highlands Surgery to embed quality improvement measures
• Supervise, support, and mentor clinical staff
• Contribute to practice strategy, service development, and innovation
• Support compliance with CQC standards and NHS contractual requirements
• Provide clinics and duty cover as needed with time each week allocated to the leadership element of the role.
