PCN GP Assistant

South Rural Primary Care Network is seeking a permanent GP Assistant to be based at Bildeston Health Centre. The post is offered on a part-time basis, for up to 23 hours a week, ideally to include Mondays and Wednesdays.

The successful applicant will play a key role in supporting our GP's with a mix of administrative and clinical tasks in the community and practice including:

• Managing incoming and outgoing clinical correspondence
• Extracting information from clinical documents that require coding
• Arranging appointments, referrals, tests and follow-up appointments
• Completing basic (non-opinion) forms, and core elements of some forms, for the GP to approve and sign
• Improving patient flow
• Supporting patient experience by reiterating information from the GP
• Assisting with practice tasks
• Helping the GP liaise with outside agencies e.g. arranging admission
• Phlebotomy - already trained is desirable, but we would be willing to train the right candidate
