Dispenser

Rowhedge & University of Essex Medical Practice have an exciting new opportunity for a qualified part time dispenser to join our friendly and busy team working in our dispensary.

The role is for 20.5 hours per week working 4 days per week. The post holder may on occasion be required to provide extra dispensary cover during holiday or sickness.

The role is dealing with all aspects of the dispensary including:-

• Issue of repeats – paper and EPS from online/email/ paper requests
• Monitoring of medication reviews
• Dealing with all patient enquiries and liaising with clinical team
• Preparing and dispensing medication
• NHS script and non NHS fees
• Endorsing prescriptions and preparing scripts for PPD submission
• Ordering, accepting deliveries and “checking in” of stock
• Cash up till
• Follow/monitor/write SOP’s (Standard operating Procedures) in line with good practice and DSQS (Dispensing Services Quality Scheme)
• Deal with outside agencies and NEECCG representatives where appropriate
