Transport Planner

We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Planner to join our busy Transport Planning team in Cambridge on a permanent basis.

The role would suit a Transport Planner with a broad understanding of the profession, ideally with experience in development planning projects and an interest in public sector schemes.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will work on a diverse range of projects, from strategic land development proposals and smaller sites through to infrastructure delivery and public sector commissions.

Based in our Cambridge office, you’ll work as part of a wider multidisciplinary team, developing your transport planning skills and experience across a variety of exciting regional projects - Cambridge, United Kingdom

YOUR IMPACT

You will support the technical delivery of transportation projects, including:

• Producing Transport Assessments and Travel Plans.
• Supporting transport studies and technical analysis.
• Undertaking junction modelling and analysis.
• Supporting project budget and quality management.
• Liaising with clients, design teams, local authorities and the public.
• Mentoring and supporting junior members of the team.

You’ll also have opportunities for career progression and professional development, with mentoring and training to support you towards professional qualifications.

ABOUT YOU

You will be degree qualified, ideally in transportation, geography, engineering or a related discipline.

You will have:

• Experience and understanding of the planning system.
• Experience with Transport Assessments and Travel Plans.
• Experience of junction modelling and analysis.
• Experience with relevant transport planning software.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Experience of budget and quality management at project level.
• Ideally, you’ll be working towards, or interested in achieving, a professional qualification such as Chartered Transport Planning Professional.
