Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a Senior Environmental Manager to join our growing Environment function and lead a team of environmental professionals based in the North of England and Scotland. You will work to support a wide portfolio of projects across divisions, delivering strategic environmental and sustainability programmes and driving measurable improvements and environmental excellence in operations.

You will lead, develop and grow a team of Environmental Advisors and Managers, building capability and capacity. Working closely with senior leaders, operational teams, clients and regulators, you will communicate performance, risks and opportunities and drive cross-contract collaboration. You will identify and champion innovations and digital solutions, developing business cases that deliver long-term value. You will also support work winning, business development and contract mobilisation by providing critical environmental inputs.
What you'll bring

- Environmental degree (or equivalent) or a related discipline,
- Chartered membership of ISEP (or equivalent),
- Proven environmental leadership/management experience within construction, including leading multi‑disciplinary teams across multiple projects or contracts.
- Values‑led people leader with experience developing teams, holding others to account and driving continual improvement.
- Clear, credible communicator able to influence senior leaders, clients, regulators and operational teams, building trusted relationships and improving environmental performance and culture.
- Experience supporting work winning and mobilisation activities, including tender responses, presentations and bid inputs.
- Strong organisational, planning and project management skills, able to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines.
- Full UK driving licence (where operationally required).
