We're recruiting an Audit Assistant Manager for a leading accountancy practice in Solihull.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified ACA/ACCA accountant with strong audit and accounts experience who is ready to take the next step into a leadership role.

You'll manage audits from planning through to completion, build client relationships, supervise junior staff and work closely with Managers and Directors.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage statutory audit assignments from planning to completion
• Act as a key client contact, handling queries and maintaining strong relationships
• Supervise, review and mentor junior audit staff
• Prepare budgets and monitor audit progress and profitability
• Manage time, resources and billing to ensure assignments remain on budget
• Ensure compliance with FRS, IFRS and auditing standards
• Identify audit issues and recommend practical solutions
• Liaise with Managers and Directors on complex assignments
• Contribute to the development of the wider audit team

About You

• ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent
• Strong experience in audit and accounts within an accountancy practice
• Good knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102 and IFRS
• Strong understanding of audit risk, controls and regulatory requirements
• Experience managing client relationships
• Confident supervising and developing junior team members
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Experience with CCH and Inflo advantageous, but training provided
