Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Analyst to join our team in London, United Kingdom. As a Finance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting our organisation's financial decision-making processes through in-depth analysis and reporting.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to support strategic business decisions
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, including monthly and quarterly statements
- Develop and update financial models to forecast future performance and cash flow
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with various departments
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks
- Support the preparation of presentations for senior management and stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and interpret financial information
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives within the finance function
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
- Participate in ad-hoc financial projects and analysis as required
- Perform variance analysis to identify and explain deviations from budgets and forecasts
- Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and support external audit processes
- Conduct industry and competitor analysis to provide insights for strategic planning
- Develop and maintain financial dashboards to provide real-time visibility into key financial metrics
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 2-5 years of experience in finance or a related role
- Strong proficiency in financial analysis and modelling techniques
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with data visualisation tools
- Knowledge of ERP systems and financial software
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Solid understanding of financial reporting standards and regulations
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Proactive approach to work with a goal-oriented mindset
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) or progress towards CFA is desirable
- Willingness to travel occasionally within the UK as required
