We're recruiting an experienced Accounts Semi-Senior to join a growing accountancy practice in Ipswich.

This is an excellent opportunity for an AAT-qualified or part-qualified ACA/ACCA accountant with previous practice experience who is looking to develop their technical skills and progress their career.

You'll work with a varied portfolio of SME clients, gaining exposure to accounts preparation, tax, VAT and advisory work while developing strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory and year-end accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
• Prepare management accounts and financial information
• Assist with corporation tax computations and CT600 returns
• Prepare and review VAT returns
• Assist with bookkeeping and bank reconciliations
• Liaise with clients to obtain information and resolve queries
• Prepare high-quality accounts files for Manager and Director review
• Support senior team members with tax and advisory assignments
• Ensure work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
• Support and mentor junior team members where appropriate

About You

• AAT qualified or part-qualified ACA/ACCA
• Previous UK accountancy practice experience
• Strong accounts preparation experience
• Good understanding of UK accounting, tax and VAT
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Confident communicating with clients and colleagues
• Good knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Proactive, professional and keen to develop your career
