  • Lead the night team by setting clear priorities, allocating tasks, and monitoring progress throughout the shift.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, health and safety requirements, and relevant workplace standards.
  • Carry out shift handovers effectively, ensuring accurate communication of key updates, risks, and actions.
  • Monitor performance against operational targets and take corrective action when required.
  • Support training and development of team members, including coaching on processes and best practice.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete relevant documentation in line with internal requirements.
  • Escalate issues promptly to the appropriate manager and assist with problem-solving and root-cause actions.
  • Promote a positive working environment, ensuring team members are treated fairly and respectfully.

  • Experience working night shifts and managing the challenges of reduced staffing and limited support.
  • Competence with basic IT systems used for shift reporting and record keeping.
  • Relevant qualification in a supervisory, operations, or workplace safety discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Any recognised workplace safety certification (such as IOSH or NEBOSH) would be advantageous.
  • Experience of working in a 4 or 5 star hospitality environment is preferred.
