Job Title: Aircraft Structures Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking an Aircraft Structures Mechanic to perform heavy maintenance, structural modifications, and sheet metal repairs on regional aircraft. This role is responsible for fabricating, installing, and repairing aircraft structures while ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, company procedures, and quality standards in a fast-paced MRO environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural repairs, modifications, and heavy maintenance on CRJ aircraft.
  • Fabricate, install, and repair sheet metal components and aircraft structures.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and maintenance manuals.
  • Use hand tools and power tools to cut, form, assemble, and install structural components.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure proper fit, alignment, and structural integrity.
  • Accurately document maintenance and repair activities.
  • Work closely with mechanics, inspectors, and maintenance teams to meet project timelines.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of aircraft sheet metal or structures experience.
  • Experience performing structural repairs and modifications on aircraft.
  • Ability to read and interpret aircraft blueprints and technical documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of airframe structures and repair techniques.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced maintenance environment and meet deadlines.
  • Must provide required hand tools.
  • A&P License preferred or relevant aviation maintenance certification.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on CRJ aircraft or other regional jets.
  • Heavy maintenance experience, including C and D checks.
  • Previous MRO experience.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Employees work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule that provides extended time off between workweeks.

This is a Contract position based out of Bridgeport, WV.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $38.00/hr.
