PSM Specialist

A global chemicals manufacturer is seeking a PSM Specialist to support a complex manufacturing site. This person will be responsible for leading process safety initiatives, ensuring OSHA PSM and EPA RMP compliance, and driving continuous improvement in risk management programs. The role offers strong visibility across operations, engineering, and EHS functions while helping maintain safe and compliant production processes.

The Role

• Lead and maintain site Process Safety Management (PSM) programs to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Facilitate Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) and oversee corrective action plans.
• Manage key PSM elements including Management of Change (MOC), Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR), and compliance audits.
• Maintain Risk Management Program (RMP) requirements and regulatory reporting.
• Provide process safety expertise and support site-wide EHS initiatives.

The Candidate

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field; CSP preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in the chemical manufacturing industry.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with OSHA PSM and EPA RMP programs.
• Strong background in risk assessments, PHAs, and process safety compliance.
• Experience with risk modeling tools, quantitative risk assessments, and process safety studies.
