Technician

This role focuses on commercial electrical work for new dormitory construction at a university campus. You will install and support electrical systems with an emphasis on conduit bending, conduit installation, and wire pulling in a new-build environment.

• Install, bend, and secure electrical conduit for new dormitory construction in accordance with project specifications and applicable codes.
• Pull, route, and organize electrical wiring through conduit systems to support power, lighting, and related building systems.
• Interpret basic plans, layouts, and instructions to complete conduit and wiring installations accurately and efficiently.
• Use appropriate tools and equipment to bend conduit and install fittings safely and precisely.
• Work collaboratively with other technicians and trades on-site to coordinate tasks and maintain project timelines.
• Follow all site safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area throughout the project.
• Inspect completed conduit and wiring installations for quality, completeness, and compliance with standards.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving basic issues related to conduit runs or wire pulls as they arise during construction.

• Proven experience working as a commercial technician on construction or new-build projects.
• Hands-on experience with conduit bending in a commercial setting.
• Proficiency in installing and securing conduit systems.
• Demonstrated ability to perform wire pulling through conduit safely and efficiently.
• Ability to follow directions, plans, and on-site instructions with attention to detail.
• Commitment to following safety guidelines and maintaining a safe work environment on active construction sites.

• Prior experience working on dormitory, campus, or similar multi-unit residential projects.
• Familiarity with basic hand and power tools commonly used in conduit and wiring installation.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Strong work ethic and reliability, with a focus on completing tasks on schedule.

This position is based on an active construction site for new dormitory buildings at a university campus. You will work primarily on-site, performing physical tasks such as bending conduit, pulling wire, and handling tools and materials. The role requires comfort working in a construction environment with varying weather conditions, noise levels, and ongoing activity from multiple trades. Standard construction-site attire and appropriate personal protective equipment are required at all times, and work hours typically align with daytime construction shifts as scheduled by the project.

This is a Contract position based out of Louisville, KY.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
