Job Title: Light Industrial Assembler

Job Description

Join a family-owned company specializing in manufacturing industrial-sized sugar and flour processors for major bakeries. As a mechanical assembler, you will play a crucial role in building these processors by assembling, deburring, and cleaning the product.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical components, including motors and rackings.
  • Utilize hand and power tools such as drills, impacts, screwdrivers, and hammers.
  • Deburr and clean assembled products to ensure quality.
  • Work independently and efficiently in a manufacturing environment.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in mechanical assembly.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Experience in manufacturing work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Deburring skills.
  • Experience with machine setup and sheet metal fabrication.
  • Ability to be trained in different departments, such as crate building.
  • Competency in reading a tape measure and converting decimals to fractions.

Work Environment

Our facility provides a clean and quiet manufacturing environment, with occasional steel scrapings on the floor. You will work independently within departments such as Assembly, Fabrication, Engineering, Shipping & Receiving, with office space up front. The operation runs on a 1st shift schedule, accommodating 50 to 60 employees.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
