Job Summary
Industrial Power Solutions, a Sundt Company, is seeking an experienced Foreman to lead electrical construction crews across industrial, manufacturing, and water/wastewater projects. This position is responsible for directing daily field activities, coordinating manpower and materials, maintaining productivity, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.
The Foreman serves as a key field leader, working closely with Superintendents, General Foremen, Project Managers, customers, and other trades to ensure successful project execution while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain positive working relationships with all members of the project team, customers, subcontractors, and field personnel.
• Always produce high quality work safely and productively.
• Lead and supervise assigned electrical crews, including Journeymen, apprentices, and helpers.
• Coordinate daily manpower, materials, tools, and equipment to support project schedules.
• Plan and direct daily crew activities based on project schedules, drawings, specifications, and field conditions.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and project requirements to ensure work is installed correctly and efficiently.
• Coordinate daily construction activities with the Superintendent, General Foreman, Project Manager, vendors, and other trades.
• Monitor crew productivity, quality, and progress and communicate project needs or issues to field leadership.
• Provide direction, training, and mentoring to apprentices, helpers, and less experienced electricians.
• Conduct field inspections to ensure work meets company standards, project specifications, NEC requirements, and quality expectations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and ensure crew members follow all company and project safety requirements.
• Eliminate “Production Waste” such as waiting, rework, transporting, material storage, and unnecessary time.
Minimum Job Requirements
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of electrical construction experience.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Foreman or equivalent field leadership role.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, NEC requirements, and safety regulations.
• Experience leading electrical crews and coordinating daily field activities.
• Must be able to read and understand electrical drawings, specifications, safety requirements, and project schedules.
• Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
• Journeyman Electrician License preferred.
• OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
• Experience on industrial, manufacturing, water/wastewater, or large commercial projects.
• Experience with crew planning, manpower coordination, and material management.

Physical Requirements
• Work up to a 12-hour shift doing physical work in varying temperatures and outside conditions.
• Will climb and maintain balance on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders, scaffolds, and aerial lifts.
• Will lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis.
• Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry, or feel objects on a frequent basis.
• Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
• May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis.
• May stoop, kneel, or bend on an occasional basis.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required, including but not limited to steel-toed boots, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, and safety vest.
• Move in and around confined, cluttered, and uneven areas.
