Job Description
We're looking for a detail-oriented and innovative Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in High Point, United States. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in designing, integrating, and optimizing our manufacturing systems and processes. You'll work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to enhance product designs, improve operational efficiency, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical skills with a passion for solving complex manufacturing challenges while maintaining our commitment to quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Design, integrate, and improve manufacturing systems and related processes to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs
- Troubleshoot new and existing product problems involving designs, materials, and manufacturing processes, providing timely and effective solutions
- Investigate and resolve operational challenges such as material use variances, production bottlenecks, and equipment inefficiencies
- Identify and implement process improvements using lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies to optimize quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
- Collaborate with commercial and industrial designers to refine product designs, ensuring manufacturability and cost optimization
- Analyze production data and metrics to drive informed decision-making and identify opportunities for process enhancement
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including blueprints, specifications, and standard operating procedures
- Provide technical expertise and support to manufacturing teams, ensuring compliance with quality control standards and safety regulations
- Evaluate fabrication processes, tooling, production equipment, and assembly methods to maximize efficiency and product quality
- Lead or participate in cross-functional projects to implement manufacturing innovations and achieve organizational goals
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- Proficiency in CAD software and manufacturing design tools
- Strong knowledge of production and processing techniques, quality control standards, and cost optimization strategies
- Solid understanding of fabrication processes, tooling, production equipment, and assembly methods
- Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong mathematical skills including algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistical analysis
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities with a detail-oriented approach
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
- Experience with data analysis, reporting, and performance metrics
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance, safety compliance, and industry standards
- Preferred: Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean certification, or equivalent professional certification
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process improvement, or related roles
