Packer

The packer plays a key role in preparing a wide variety of products and materials for shipment by carefully packing and packaging items by hand. This position supports efficient warehouse operations by ensuring products are measured, documented, and packed accurately and safely, while maintaining a clean and organized work area.

• Measure, weigh, and count products and materials to ensure accuracy before packaging.
• Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records with attention to detail.
• Load materials and products into package processing equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers using appropriate hand tools to protect products during transit.
• Clean containers, materials, supplies, and work areas using cleaning solutions and hand tools to maintain a safe and orderly environment.
• Transport prepared packages to customers’ vehicles or designated staging areas.
• Follow established policies, procedures, and equipment guidelines during all packaging operations.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production and quality goals.

• Strong verbal communication skills to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to work as a cooperative and reliable team player.
• Basic problem-solving skills to address routine packaging or equipment issues.
• Basic knowledge of relevant packaging equipment, policies, and procedures.

• High school diploma or GED typically required.
• 0–2 years of experience in a warehouse, packaging, or similar environment.
• Experience with packaging operations, including measuring and weighing products.
• Familiarity with material handling and package processing equipment operation.
• Ability to assemble and pack cartons, crates, and containers accurately and efficiently.

This is a hands-on role in a warehouse or production environment focused on packaging operations. You will work with package processing equipment, hand tools for assembling and padding cartons and crates, and cleaning tools and solutions to maintain a tidy workspace. The shift runs from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, providing a stable afternoon-to-evening schedule. The work involves standing for extended periods, handling materials, and lifting heavy objects, in an environment that prioritizes safety, organization, and teamwork.

This is a Contract position based out of Mcdonough, GA.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
