Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

This role involves assembling industrial sweeping machines by following detailed work instructions and using a variety of hand and power tools. You will build and install hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical subassemblies across multiple stations, contributing to the complete assembly of high-quality equipment in a clean and organized manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble industrial sweeping machines by following written work instructions and established procedures.
  • Use screw guns, sockets, wrenches, and other hand and power tools to build hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical subassemblies.
  • Work across four assembly stations that increase in complexity, completing approximately 4–5 hours of work at each station.
  • Install brakes, tires, engines, lift arms, radiators, hoses, harnesses, and other key components on the machines.
  • Perform hydraulic assembly tasks, including routing and securing hoses and related components.
  • Electrify the machine by installing wiring harnesses and electrical components according to specifications.
  • Complete final assembly by installing sheet metal panels and the hopper, ensuring proper fit and function.
  • Follow safety procedures and use tools and equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and support a safety-conscious, well-lit manufacturing environment.
  • Collaborate with team members at each station to ensure efficient workflow and consistent product quality.

Essential Skills

  • Mechanical assembly experience with the ability to follow work instructions accurately.
  • Proficiency using sockets, wrenches, nuts, bolts, and screw guns in an assembly or mechanical setting.
  • Hands-on experience with hand and power tools, including screw guns and basic mechanical tools.
  • Mechanical aptitude, including the ability to understand how mechanical and hydraulic components fit and function together.
  • Experinece in mechanical or heavy assembly work, such as military mechanics, trade school training, hobbies, or manufacturing roles.
  • Ability to perform hydraulic assembly tasks and work with heavy components as needed.
  • Capability to use tools safely and effectively in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in engine repair or working with engines in a mechanical setting.
  • Previous work in manufacturing, mechanical trades, or related technical fields.
  • Training from trade schools, technical programs, or military mechanic roles.
  • Comfort working at multiple assembly stations and adapting to progressively more complex tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a structured, station-based assembly process.

Why Work Here?

The facility is well lit and safety conscious, providing a structured and organized environment for mechanical and heavy assembly work. The workday follows a first-shift schedule of 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime of approximately 3–5 hours per week.
