General Laborer - Swing/Graveyard

Job Title: General Laborer - Day Shift- 27.50 per hour

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a General Laborer, where you will engage in various tasks to ensure the quality and safety of our metal products. You will be primarily responsible for using grinders to perform inspection grinding, finish grinding, spot grinding, and all-over grinding of metal parts. This position requires standing for extended periods and wearing a respirator throughout your shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection grinding to identify and rectify any cracks in metal parts.
• Execute finish grinding, spot grinding, and all-over grinding tasks.
• Engage in general labor activities as needed, beyond grinder operations.
• Stand and work continuously while adhering to safety protocols, including wearing a respirator.

Essential Skills

• Experience with grinders, manufacturing, and machine operation.
• Capability to frequently push and pull weights between 75 - 100 lbs.
• Basic math skills, including addition and subtraction.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in heavy lifting, metals, and construction is preferred.

Work Environment

Our heavy industrial setting is characterized by a hot, heavy, loud, dusty, dirty, and smelly atmosphere due to the furnaces used in metal heating. Shifts are available on 1st, swing, and graveyard schedules, offering flexibility and the chance to work in a dynamic and physically demanding environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Reno, NV.

The pay range for this position is $21.15 - $22.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
