Job Description

Gracenote is seeking a highly motivated Senior Manager of FP&A to lead its Revenue FP&A team and drive corporate revenue analytics, core financial modeling, and long-range topline forecasting. This role leads revenue recognition oversight, variance modeling, ARR/MRR metrics, and complex revenue planning, translating detailed financial data into a clear, decision-ready view of topline performance, risks, and opportunities for executive leadership.

The Senior Manager partners closely with Accounting, Core FP&A, RevOps, and Financial Systems to strengthen forecast precision, enhance revenue reconciliation, and streamline accounting-to-FP&A data pipelines. This leader establishes a disciplined monthly and quarterly revenue cadence across close variance analysis, deferral tracking, cohort modeling, and board reporting, while developing the team and improving the technical rigor and scalability of revenue insights.

The ideal candidate combines strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities with commercial judgment, operating discipline, and clear executive communication.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Revenue FP&A team, setting priorities and maintaining high-quality execution across recurring revenue planning, reporting, analytics, and ad hoc work.

  • Own Gracenote topline revenue reporting, forecasting, and revenue planning, integrating segment-level inputs and commercial assumptions into a consistent view of performance and outlook.

  • Partner with Accounting and Core FP&A to ensure alignment on revenue recognition standards, deferred revenue schedules, multi-element allocations, and month-end revenue cutoffs.

  • Review and strengthen revenue reporting and analytics prepared by the team, ensuring clear narratives on segment, product, customer, and forecast performance for leadership.

  • Direct revenue close and performance analysis, including landing-point tracking, review of revenue-related journal entries and allocations, Revenue on Hand (ROH) and billing reconciliations, variance analysis, and revenue bridges.

  • Prepare and coordinate revenue materials for Operating Business Reviews, Sponsor Monthly Operating Reviews, Board meetings, and other leadership forums, in partnership with Core FP&A and relevant business stakeholders.

  • Build and maintain core revenue financial models, customer churn/retention tracking, unit economics, and yield analytics to support long-term strategic planning and capital allocation.

  • Partner closely with commercial enablement, deal desk, sales, and revenue operations to understand critical deal flows and revenue pipeline.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

  • 8+ years of progressive FP&A, commercial finance, or related finance experience.

  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, including experience with revenue forecasting, customer or product economics, scenario analysis, and executive decision support.

  • Strong understanding of revenue accounting concepts (ASC 606), revenue deferral schedules, subscription/recurring revenue mechanics, and technical FP&A modeling standard practices.

  • Demonstrated leadership and people-management experience, including the ability to develop a team, prioritize competing demands, and drive execution.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial and commercial topics into clear leadership narratives.

  • Experience supporting monthly close, forecast cycles, executive operating cadences, business reviews, and planning processes.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong follow-through and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and presentation software.
