Sr. Safety Coordinator

Shirley Parsons has partnered with a leading General Contractor to identify an experienced Senior Safety Coordinator who is ready to make an immediate impact on a growing team. This site-based position takes a proactive approach to recognizing and addressing hazards while supporting compliance with relevant safety standards and requirements.

The Role:

• Contribute to pre-construction and project planning efforts while helping develop site-specific health and safety programs and procedures.
• Assess subcontractor safety programs, operating practices, procedures, and equipment to ensure alignment with company safety standards and all applicable regulations.
• Manage the investigation process for workplace incidents, injuries, near-miss events, and property damage, ensuring thorough analysis, reporting, and implementation of corrective actions.
• Perform safety inspections and compliance audits at construction sites, company facilities, and shop locations while identifying risks and collaborating with project teams and subcontractors to implement corrective measures.

The Candidate:

• 3-5 years of construction safety experience. Preferably for a general contractor.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Professional Safety certifications such as CHST, CSP OR ASP preferred.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification.
• Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication, supported by strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
