About the Role

As an Inpatient Medicine PA, you'll play an important role in the care of hospitalized patients throughout their stay. You'll use your clinical expertise, critical thinking, and independent judgment to evaluate patients, manage acute and chronic conditions, and develop evidence-based treatment plans.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Perform patient assessments, histories, and physical examinations.

  • Evaluate changes in patient condition and determine appropriate interventions.

  • Order and interpret laboratory, imaging, and other diagnostic studies.

  • Prescribe medications and provide treatments within your scope of practice.

  • Conduct hospital rounds and assist with admissions and discharges.

  • Perform procedures based on your training, competency, and scope of practice.

  • Monitor treatment response and adjust plans of care as appropriate.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other members of the care team.

  • Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and treatment plans.

  • Recognize when additional consultation or escalation of care is needed.

Is This You?

We're looking for a confident, clinically strong PA who enjoys acute care and thrives in an environment where autonomy and collaboration go hand in hand.

We're especially interested in PAs with 2+ years of experience in:

  • Inpatient medicine

  • ICU / critical care

  • Emergency medicine

  • Pulmonary medicine

You'll also need:

  • Current Texas PA license

  • Current NCCPA certification

  • BLS certification within 30 days of hire or transfer

  • ACLS certification within 30 days of hire or transfer

  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • EDUCATION - Grad of an Accredited Program
  • EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
  • CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -

       Physician Assistants (PA)

       Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
