The Laser Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting laser and airflow equipment according to Operation Process Sheets and shop order requirements. The role requires proving out CNC programs for production readiness and evaluating existing programs to recommend improvements for efficiency and quality enhancement. The operator will inspect parts, equipment, fixtures, gauges, alignment systems, lenses, and welding heads to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards. Additionally, the operator will detect and correct equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions, escalating issues requiring third-party repair support when necessary. Responsibilities also include performing equipment calibration and alignment, including waterjet calibration, AFC, camera and lens alignment, fine alignment, and weld coupon verification, as well as interpreting and applying blueprints, GD&T, character control sheets, and technical specifications.

- Proficiency in water jet and laser operation.
- Experience with CNC laser and fabrication.

Work EnvironmentThe work environment is a manufacturing and factory setting with climate control. Employees may be exposed to elevated noise levels, moving equipment, machine parts, fumes, dust, mist, and chemicals associated with manufacturing processes. There may be occasional work outside of normal business hours based on operational needs.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $34.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
